Resources
Here are my favorite tools and resources that I use regularly and highly recommend. They’re arranged by topic and free unless you see this symbol: [*]
Diet/Eating Tools
Glycemic Index Search Engine: Search either by food type or find foods by inputting the GI you’re looking for. [Click "GI Database" in their sidebar to search for foods]
Nutrition Information: Search for any food and it will give you a breakdown of it’s nutritional value by brand and cooking method.
Target Nutrition Calculator: Find out what percentage of carbs>protein>fat you should be eating (includes short explanation/description).
Automate Your Weekly Meals: My short guide to spending less time, money, and energy cooking but eating healthy and tasty food.
Fast, Healthy Meals: Fast, healthy, tasty meals that take only 20 minutes to make. New set of meals every couple of weeks.

Fitness
Nike+ WebTool: Incredibly useful to find how exactly how far you ran or walked. It only takes a few seconds to create an account, then you can use this “Map It” page to click their integrated Google Map of the world and measure your route to the then of a mile. [Plus: you can click anywhere on the map so you don't have to stick to roads and you don't need any of their gear to do it.]
Gym-less Strength Training: Eight good strength workouts you can easily do at home. Targets all major muscle groups and only takes 8 minutes–I recommend repeating 2-4 times.
[*] iFitness: AWESOME iPhone/iPod Touch app that lets you track your exercise sessions with the greatest of ease. Very, very highly recommended. [Skip your next latte and get this app, you won't regret it.]
###
Spontaneous Pneumothorax (Collapsed Lung/Surgery)
BlebInfo Forum: Most active support/information forum on the internet right now since blebdisease.com went down.
Sarah Kalveram’s Blog: A personal account and the thoughts of someone recovering from lung surgery–and will be having surgery again relatively soon.
USC’s “Patient’s Guide to Lung Surgery”: Great resource if you’re getting ready for lung surgery. Covers quite a bit.
Facebook Groups: A list of Facebook support and information groups.
###
Productivity
Tim Ferriss’ Blog: This is by far my favorite blog on the internet, no question. NY Times best selling author for more than two years straight–You’ll learn more here for free than most paid services and it’s extremely entertaining.
Your Second Brain (Evernote): Absolutely amazing web application. Never forget anything ever again: clip web pages, store video, audio, documents, etc. Completely indexed and very intuitive organization. Can sync with your computer and phone. I can’t recommend this enough.
Start Your Own Blog (Wordpress): Wordpress is my absolute favorite platform for beginner (or any) bloggers. It’s ridiculously easy to set up and you can have your blog up and running in seconds. Very powerful and easy to use.
Find the Cheapest Airfare: Find the lowest price with Kayak then bid at 50% of the lowest price, increasing by 10% until your bid is accepted. You can usually get ~30% off their lowest price. Same goes for cars, cruises, hotels, etc.
Chinatown Busses: Extremely cheap charter busses between major US East Coast cities. Around $20-30 round trip.
Convert Files Online: Convert files up to 100mb into different file-types (audio, video, documents, etc) for free and without installing any software.
